Product information

The design of the handle torque resistance test apparatus of cookware complies with BS EN 12983-1:2020 clause 7.4 and Appendix C, figure C.1.

It is used for resistance test to torque of cookware handle. The torsion deformation of the handle in all directions does not exceed 10°. The degree of deformation cannot affect the function of the handle. After the test, the fasteners are not loosened. It is used to evaluate the torque resistance capacity of the cookware handle.

Operation method

1 First, place the apparatus in a horizontal place, place it on a flat table.

2 Perform heat resistance test on the sample in advance in accordance with the requirements of Appendix B of the standard.

3 Install the handle clamps of the balance bar to the midpoint of the length of the handle and lock them.

4 Place the cookware with handle holders and balance bar on the tiltable test bench, adjust the sample frame to lock the cookware well, then adjust the tilt of the test bench to make the balance bar level.

5 Hang the weights on the left of the balance bar firstly, record the angle of the angle gauge after being stable for 30s, them hang the weight on the right of the balance bar, record the angle of the angle gauge after being stable for 30s.

6 After the test, check whether the sample is deformed or loose.

7 Make the conclusion after the test.
