Products Description
IEC 60884 Abnormal Heat Test Device For Plug Pin Insulating Sleeve
Product Information For Testing To Abnormal Heat Of Insulating Sleeves Of Plug Pins:
This instrument complies with the standard requirements of IEC 60884-1 Article 24.19 Figure 38. Used to test the voltage resistance of electrical accessories and mounting boxes in a heated environment. This testing equipment should be used in conjunction with the heating box.
The device comprises two steel jaws with a cylindrical surface radius of 25 mm, a width of 15 mm and a length of 50 mm. The length of 50 mm can be increased, depending on the size of the accessory to be measured. The radius of the fillet is 2.5 mm. The specimen is clamped between the jaws so that the area where it would be clamped in normal use is compressed by the jaws. The center line of the jaws coincides with the center line of the area as much as possible. Force applied through the jaws is 20 n. The test was carried out in a heating cabinet at a temperature of (80 ± 2) °C.
