Products Description
Check Security Of Lampholder Contacts Of Lampholder Copper For Lamp Testing IEC 60598-2
Product information:
The test device is conformed to the IEC60598-2-20 clause 20.12.4, Fig 2.
A lampholder copper contacts security thrust test device is a specialized apparatus used to perform a security thrust test on the copper contacts of a lampholder. The lampholder is the component that holds the light bulb or lamp in place within a lighting fixture. The purpose of this test is to evaluate the reliability and mechanical strength of the copper contacts that make electrical contact with the lamp pins. Here are the key features and components typically found in a lampholder copper contacts security thrust test device:
Test Fixture: The device includes a test fixture specifically designed to hold the lampholder securely during the security thrust test. The fixture ensures proper alignment and positioning of the lampholder and provides a mechanism to apply the required thrust force.
Force Measurement: The device incorporates force measurement capabilities to accurately measure the applied thrust force. This measurement ensures that the force is within the specified range and allows for the evaluation of the lampholder's contact strength and resistance to deformation.
Security and Stability: The lampholder copper contacts security thrust test device is designed to provide security and stability during testing. It ensures that the lampholder remains securely held in position and does not move or rotate during the application of thrust forces. This stability is crucial to obtain reliable and repeatable test results.
Compliance with Standards: The test device is designed to comply with specific standards or testing requirements related to lampholders and lighting fixtures. Compliance ensures that the device can accurately and reliably perform the security thrust test according to the specified standards and industry guidelines.
The lampholder copper contacts security thrust test device is used by manufacturers, testing laboratories, and certification bodies to ensure that the lampholders meet the mechanical strength and reliability requirements outlined by industry standards. By subjecting the copper contacts to controlled thrust forces, the device helps identify any weaknesses, deformation, or failure points, enabling manufacturers to improve their designs and ensure the safety and durability of the lampholders.
Test Principle:
It is used to check security of lampholder contacts, avoid the lamp holder contacts shifting and the live parts of the lamp string becoming accessible which are caused by the frictions.
Test method is: The incandescent lamp is removed and a force of 15 N is applied for 1 min to each of the conductors connected. Following this, a force of 30 N is applied for 1 min to the two conductors together. The forces are applied at a distance of 3 ± 0,8 mm from the insertion points in the lampholder so as to try to move the contacts from the lampholders. During the test the contacts shall not move more than 0.8 mm.
