Product information:

This testing device is required by IEC 62196-1Ed.4CDV 2020 clause 26.3, fig 19.

It is used to test the mechanical strength of rewirable plugs and vehicle connector which is equipped with flexible cable.

The sample is held so that the cable is horizontal and then it is allowed to fall on to a concrete floor. This is done eight times; the cable being rotated through 45° at its fixing each time.

Technical parameters:

1. The height of dropping:1000mm

2. Dropping times:8

3. Rotating angle:45°, it can be rotated in all sides.

4. Size:L*W*H 2300*500*860mm

Drop height 1000mm
Dropping times 8times
Rotating angle 45°, it can be rotated in all sides
Equipment size L*W*H 2300*500*860mm

Test procedures (Excerpt from IEC 62196-1Ed.4CDV 2020 clause 26.3):

Non-rewirable plugs and vehicle connectors are tested with a small section (approximately 200 mm) of the flexible cable as delivered.
The free end of the cable and an additional rope or other flexible means, etc., attached to the flexible cable, both having a total length of 2,25 m, is fixed to a wall at a height of 1 m above the floor, as shown in Figure 19.
The sample is held so that the cable is horizontal and then it is allowed to fall on to a concrete floor. This is done eight times; the cable being rotated through 45 ° at its fixing each time.
