Application:

 

It is suitable for thermal resistance testing on electrical enclosures and external parts made of insulating materials, to verify their heat resistance capacity.

 

Test Principle:

 

The specimen is placed in the horizontal position on the support and the hemispherical tip of the ball is pressed against the surface with a force of 20N.

The test is made in a heating cabinet at a temperature of 40/70/125±2°C (please refer to different standard requirements), after1 hour the ball shall be removed from the specimen, which is them immersed within 10 s, in cold water for cooling down to approximately room temperature.

The diameter of the impression caused by the ball is measured and shall not exceed 2 mm.
